5 M Sodium Chloride Solution, 200 L Bag is a concentrated salt stock for laboratory and process applications requiring controlled ionic strength. It is used to adjust salinity in buffers and culture media, to prepare salt gradients for ion-exchange chromatography, and to support protocols involving osmotic shock or selective precipitation of biomolecules.

The 5 M concentration enables accurate volumetric dilution to working strengths for assay buffers, wash solutions, and process intermediates. The 200 L bag format supports high-volume preparation of media, reagents, and chromatography solutions. GMP manufactured.

  • 5M Sodium Chloride

  • Buffer and Salt Solutions Preparation: Used to make physiological saline (0.9% NaCl), PBS, TBS, and SSC by diluting 5M Sodium Chloride to desired ionic strengths.

  • Protein Purification: Adjusts ionic strength for ion-exchange chromatography loading, washing, and salt-gradient elution.

  • Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC): Provides high-salt conditions for protein binding and controlled elution.

  • Nucleic Acid Workflows: Facilitates DNA/RNA precipitation and resuspension conditions; supports SSC/SSPE-based hybridization buffers.

  • Electrophoresis Buffers: Sets ionic strength for running and sample buffers in PAGE and agarose gel electrophoresis.

  • Immunoassays and Blotting: Formulates PBS/TBS-based blocking and wash buffers for ELISA and Western blotting.

  • Cell and Microbial Culture: Adjusts osmolarity of media such as LB/Tryptone Soya Broth for cultivation of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.

  • Osmotic Stabilization and Lysis: Tunes osmolarity in cell lysis, periplasmic extraction, and protein extraction buffers.

  • Sample Dilution and Storage: Maintains ionic strength in reagent and protein storage solutions to enhance stability.

  • Chromatography System Maintenance: Used for column equilibration, stripping, and cleaning-in-place procedures.
