AAV•Tek AEX Buffer: AAV6 - Equilibration Buffer 11A is an anion-exchange (AEX) equilibration buffer intended for conditioning AEX chromatography media prior to processing adeno-associated virus serotype 6 (AAV6) samples. It is used to establish the starting ionic strength and pH for column equilibration and initial wash steps before sample loading in AAV6 purification workflows.

This buffer is applied to the column to set baseline conditions for binding and to maintain consistent buffer composition during equilibration and early processing stages. It is suitable for use with AEX columns and membranes commonly employed in laboratory-scale and process-development workflows involving AAV6.

  • Anion Exchange Chromatography (AAV6) Equilibration: Equilibrates AEX columns to target pH and ionic strength prior to loading AAV6.

  • Column Conditioning/Priming: Primes chromatography systems and media to ensure stable baseline and consistent binding behavior.

  • Feed Conditioning: Dilutes or adjusts process intermediates to match AEX equilibration conditions before column loading.

  • Initial Column Wash: Performs pre-load and post-load equilibration/wash steps to remove unbound impurities while maintaining set conditions.

  • Method Development and Scale-Up: Provides a standardized equilibration buffer for process development, tech transfer, and GMP-scale workflows.

  • In-Process Column Hold: Maintains column readiness between cycles under defined equilibration conditions.
