5X Supplement EZ Minus Methionine is a 5X concentrated defined supplement for preparing synthetic dropout media lacking methionine. When combined with yeast nitrogen base and an appropriate carbon source, it provides a complete amino acid and nucleotide supplement set minus methionine for formulating methionine-omission media.

This supplement is suitable for cultivating and selecting auxotrophic Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains in methionine-dropout conditions and for maintaining plasmids or genomic integrations that rely on methionine prototrophy-based selection in defined media.
