6M Sodium Perchlorate Solution, DNase/RNase/Protease Tested, is a chaotropic salt solution used to disrupt hydrogen bonding, dissociate protein–nucleic acid complexes, and promote nucleic acid solubilization. Each lot is tested for detectable DNase, RNase, and protease activities.

Applications include DNA and RNA isolation from cells and tissues, reduction of protein carryover during extraction, preparation of denaturing conditions for nucleic acid hybridization, desalting and cleanup of oligonucleotides, and facilitation of silica-based binding steps in nucleic acid purification workflows.

Store tightly closed at ambient laboratory temperature. Sodium perchlorate is an oxidizing salt; handle using appropriate laboratory safety practices and compatible materials.

  • Nucleic Acid Purification: Chaotropic salt for silica-based DNA/RNA extraction and cleanup, promoting binding and inactivating nucleases.
