60% Sucrose Solution, Endotoxin Tested is a sterile, aqueous sucrose solution suitable for density gradient and cushion centrifugation, osmotic stabilization in cell fractionation workflows, and sample layering for ultracentrifugation of macromolecular and subcellular components. The solution is filtered and endotoxin tested to support applications sensitive to pyrogen contamination.

Prepared in high-purity water and compatible with common biological buffers, this ready-to-use solution is intended for routine laboratory use where consistent density and low bioburden are required.

  • 60% Sucrose Solution
  • Density Gradient Centrifugation: Preparation of sucrose gradients (e.g., 20–60%) to separate viruses, organelles, and vesicles by buoyant density.

  • Ultracentrifugation Cushions: Use as a 60% Sucrose Solution cushion to concentrate and purify viral vectors (AAV, lentivirus), bacteriophages, and extracellular vesicles.

  • Polysome and Ribosome Profiling: Isolation of ribosomes and polysomes from mammalian cells and E. coli using sucrose gradients.

  • Membrane and Organelle Fractionation: Separation of plasma membranes, mitochondria, nuclei, and other subcellular components via rate-zonal centrifugation.

  • Protoplast/Spheroplast Stabilization: Osmotic stabilization during formation and handling of bacterial spheroplasts (e.g., E. coli, Bacillus subtilis) and yeast protoplasts.

  • Virus Purification and Concentration: Purification of viruses and bacteriophages from complex mixtures using step or continuous sucrose gradients.

  • Extracellular Vesicle Isolation: Rate-zonal separation of exosomes and microvesicles from cell culture supernatants and biofluids.

  • Endotoxin-Sensitive Workflows: Suitable for applications requiring low endotoxin levels, including cell culture, vaccine research, and bioprocessing.
