EZ Rich Defined Medium Kit minus Methionine is a MOPS‑buffered, chemically defined rich medium lacking methionine for the cultivation of E. coli and other bacteria under controlled nutrient conditions. The methionine omission enables cultivation of methionine auxotrophs and supports workflows requiring defined sulfur amino acid control, such as isotope labeling or selective supplementation.

The kit provides concentrated components that reconstitute to the final medium upon dilution with water, supplying buffering capacity, essential salts, nucleotide precursors, vitamins, amino acids excluding methionine, and glucose as the carbon source. Prepared medium is suitable for liquid culture or, with the addition of a gelling agent, for solid media applications as required by the experimental design.
